Your privacy, in plain language.
Netwit collects what it needs to run a shared discussion forum. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
What we store
- Your public display name, account creation time, verification status, and a salted password hash. Email addresses are stored only for legacy email accounts; new username-only accounts do not require email. We never store your plain-text password.
- Your unique public username, optional bio, discussions, replies, Helpful reactions, debate votes and recorded results, timestamps, and whether content was edited or moderated.
- Private reports, connection requests and accepted connections, blocks, in-app notifications and read status, account suspension status, and administrator action records.
- Hashed sign-in sessions and one-use verification or reset tokens, with expiration times.
What other people can see
Your display name and public contributions are visible to anyone, including visitors without an account. Your email address, password hash, sessions, reports, full connection list, and notifications are not public. Other members see their own relationship or request with you, but not your other connections. Blocking cancels requests and connections and stops further requests and direct replies between the accounts; it does not make public posts private. We do not send connection or reply notification emails or browser push alerts. Do not put sensitive personal information in a post.
Cookies and drafts
A necessary, secure sign-in cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days. Unfinished debate and reply drafts are saved in this browser for up to seven days so they can survive signing in. Drafts are not shared across devices and are cleared after successful posting. Passwords and email addresses are not saved as drafts. Clear your browser’s site data to remove a local draft.
Hosting and account emails
OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare provide hosting and database infrastructure. Resend sends verification and password reset emails from accounts@mail.naexon.com and processes your email address and those messages. Hosting providers may process technical request information, including IP addresses, for operations and security.
Spam prevention and retention
Netwit stores short-lived, keyed hashes of request IP addresses for rate limits, rather than raw IP addresses in its application database. These records, expired sessions, and expired email tokens are discarded during subsequent write requests. Account and content records remain until removed; hidden content and moderation records remain available to administrators. Archived examples retain real member contributions.
Questions or deletion requests
Netwit is operated by NEXON FR, INC. Email cs@naexon.com from your account address to request account information or deletion. We may ask you to verify ownership before making changes.
